Tyson Fury sees himself winning easily if he fights Brock Lesnar in a wrestling match or actual fight.
In October, he appeared on his first professional wrestling match, defeating Braun Strowman at the WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
Following this stint, the lineal heavyweight champion sets his sights on a potential debut in the Octagon.
Footage of his training with Darren Till has been making rounds online while high-profile UFC stars such as Stipe Miocic have expressed interest in fighting him.
While the presence of Fury would be a big boost for both WWE and the UFC, some fans and pundits were dismayed with the boxer’s decision to start a career outside the squared circle.
But the British heavyweight is happy to be taking once in a lifetime opportunities.
In fact, he is considering to make a return to sports entertainment and face Lesnar in a match.
Handy
In a recent appearance at the True Geordie podcast, ‘The Gypsy King’ predicted he would handle the former UFC heavyweight champion with ease should they meet in the WWE ring.
Confident of his skills, Fury also suggested the fight with Lesnar could happen without a script.
“I fancy a fight with Brock, for sure,” he stated.
“I watched a few of his fights. [He’s] pretty handy, but I can flatten him. In a WWE match or a proper fight, I can flatten Brock Lesnar in 30 seconds.”
As for the concerns about him joining WWE, Fury said he does not want to live his life with ‘what-ifs.’
“Frank (Warren), along with everyone else in my team, was like ‘concentrate on your job, you are not a showman or a movie star.”
“He said you could get injured and what happens if the cut re-opens or if you get injured shoulders. If we lived our lives on ‘what if’ we would never do anything.”
“These are once in a lifetime opportunities.”
February Rematch
Fury will be gearing up for one of the biggest boxing fights next year as he faces Deontay Wilder for their highly-anticipated rematch in February.
The heavyweight rivals locked horns in an instant classic last December 2018. The result, though, caused a debate between boxing fans as ringside judges settled for a split draw.
Since that questionable fight, Fury and Wilder have won two fights apiece.
The British star defeated Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin while the American champion finished Dominick Breazeale and Luis Ortiz.
“Wilder has nothing more than a punchers chance vs me, I’m gonna school even more than the first fight,” Fury promised.
